0. Introduction

Colegio Internacional Costa Adeje SL (hereinafter The School or The Responsible), would like to inform you about our privacy policy and about how we treat your personal data as well as that of the students who visit our facilities on a daily basis.

We will treat your data under the provisions of the General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on Data Protection, and Organic Law 3/2018 on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights, as well as Organic Law 2/2006 on May 3, Education.

Here you can find information about what data we process, how we obtain it, for what purpose we use it, for how long we keep it, and what measures we adopt to protect your personal data, as well as other information that you should know about the processing of your data and the students who frequent our facilities. For this reason, we ask you to carefully read our privacy policy.

1. Responsible for the treatment of your personal data and that of your children

2. How do we obtain personal data?

Depending on the type of data processed, the sources of data collection may be the following:

  1. You can communicate them to us through the contact form on our website, previously accepting our privacy policy.
  2. You can contribute them to us by signing our records and registration forms, registration, etc.
  3. Once our contractual relationship is established, they may be generated as a result of the management, maintenance, and development of our relationship.
  4. We can obtain them from external sources, in the event that you have previously consented.

3. What is the legitimacy of the school for the treatment of your personal data?

The basis for the processing of your personal data is:

  1. In your own consent for the development and execution of the relationship formalized with you.
  2. In our legitimate interest in data processing, as long as it does not undermine the privacy rights of each person.
  3. In compliance with the legal obligations of the School in the exercise of the educational function and your unequivocal consent.

4. Relevant information about minors

For the treatment of data of persons under 14 years of age that require the consent of the interested party, this must be provided by their parents or legal guardians. The consent of parents or guardians will not be necessary for the processing of data that has legitimacy by compliance with a law, or by the existence of a legitimate interest of the College, provided that this does not prevail over the rights and freedoms of those affected. .

Minors under the age of 14 may not use the services available through the Web without the prior authorization of their parents, guardians or legal representatives, who will be solely responsible for all acts carried out through the Web by them. their position, including the completion of the forms with the personal data of the minors and the marking, where appropriate, of the boxes that accompany them. The College will not be held responsible for any omission of this warning by the user.

5. What type of data do we process?

 DATA COLLECTED FROM THE CONTACT FORM ON OUR WEB PAGE :

 We will collect name, surname and email data from the user who accesses our contact form, and we will treat it to fulfill the following purposes:

  • Management of queries, complaints/incidents, claims and requests made by the user and organization of appointments with users.
  • Computer control of the website

Please avoid providing us with particularly relevant data (health data, ideology, beliefs, union affiliation, religion, racial origin and/or sexual life) unless we expressly request it prior to your consent, prior information on the processing of your data.

The College will process the data obtained from the website for the time necessary to attend to the request required by the user. In this sense, we will keep your personal data blocked during the limitation period of the actions that may arise from the relationship maintained with the interested party or to meet the requirements of public authorities.

NECESSARY DATA FOR THE PROVISION OF CONTRACTED SERVICES:

To comply with the provision of the contracted services, we will collect the following data, necessary to fulfill our obligations once the provision of services has been contracted:

  • Identification data of parents and students over 14 years of age who give their consent for data processing.
  • Identification data of students under 14 years of age whose treatment has been authorized by parents or legal guardians.
  • Data on personal characteristics (academic, economic, occasionally health, etc.).
  • Data of social circumstances.

Please avoid providing us with particularly relevant data (health data, ideology, beliefs, union affiliation, religion, racial origin and/or sexual life) unless we expressly request it prior to your consent, prior information on the processing of your data.

PURPOSES:  Once the provision of our services has been contracted, the College will process your personal data to achieve the purposes detailed below:

  1. For the  DEVELOPMENT OF OUR ACTIVITY  (within the educational function) that is, for the provision of our services. Within this function we can distinguish the following records, for which we will need different types of personal data:
    • Inclusion in waiting lists
    • Enrollment and other activities aimed at the development of students’ school life (academic management, admission, records, card, technological applications, extracurricular activities).
    • In your case, contracting a dining room service.
    • In your case, contracting a Permanence service.
    • Other possible, derived from the provision of our services and whose consent will be previously requested.
  1. To respond to  INQUIRIES AND REQUESTS .
  2. To provide  INFORMATION ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES  through postal mail, email, SMS and other means of electronic communication of the school whose activities include teaching.
  3. For the  BILLING, COLLECTION AND MANAGEMENT OF PAYMENTS  as a result of the provision of our services.

Only in the event that you expressly authorize us to do so, we can use your data and that of your children for the following purposes:

  1. To capture images and spread them on social networks, platforms, video conferences. Remember that we can only do so if you expressly authorize us to do so.
  2. To transfer them to the FORMER STUDENTS ASSOCIATION if you have requested it.
  3. For the preparation of profiles through marketing studies and statistical and segmentation techniques and procedures that allow improvements to be made and the selection of appropriate offers of products and services to your or your children’s characteristics and needs, through internal sources.

DURATION OF THIS TREATMENT:  We will keep the data related to the provision of our services for the time necessary to do so, provided that you have not exercised your right of deletion (explained later), or for the time necessary to comply with our legal obligations that result from application in each specific case, the type of data and the purpose of the treatment.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, keep in mind that the School may keep the information related to the academic records of our students.

In the event that you request the deletion or limitation of the processing of your personal data prior to the indicated terms, in accordance with the provisions of art. 32 of LO 3/2018 of PDYGGD, we will proceed to  block the data  as long as our right or duty to keep them persists. The blocking of the data consists of the identification and reservation of the same, adopting the technical and organizational measures to prevent their treatment, to comply with possible demands of responsibility derived from the treatment and only for the limitation period of the same. After this period we will proceed to the destruction of the data.

DATA OF CANDIDATES TO WORK POSITIONS: SENDING A CURRICULUM VITAE.

If you wish to work with us, you can provide us with your Curriculum Vitae. In this case, the Association will process your data with the  PURPOSE  of including you as a candidate for the different vacancies that may occur in our organization.

DURATION :  The data provided will be kept until a job is awarded and for a maximum of one year from the date of receipt of your application. After this period we will proceed to the destruction of the data. However, you may exercise your right to cancel prior to the end of the indicated periods: in this case, we will proceed to the immediate deletion of your curriculum vitae from our database.

You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data or request its deletion when the data is no longer necessary. The data provided will not be transferred to third parties. In the same way, we ask that in the event of alteration or modification of your data, you notify us as soon as possible.

6. What are our data protection principles:

  • Legality : we will treat your data in accordance with current regulatory provisions.
  • Data minimization : we will only collect the data strictly necessary to fulfill the specific purposes and of which you have been informed.
  • Security : We have the appropriate protection measures in place to ensure the security, resiliency, confidentiality and availability of your data.
  • Relevance : the data is relevant for the provision of the contracted services or the relationship established between you, your children and the School.
  • Accuracy : we do not modify or alter personal data.

7. Protection measures

The College has the necessary technical and organizational measures to guarantee the security of your personal data. Only authorized persons or those who must comply with legal requirements (competent authorities) may access them. If you would like information on the technical and organizational measures adopted, please contact the College or our DPO.

8. International transfers, communication or transfer of personal data

The College will not make international transfers of personal data. Nor will we transfer them to third parties, unless we request your express authorization to do so. In that case, we will inform you about what data we wish to transfer, to whom and for what we want to make said transfer.

Despite the foregoing, the personal data processed by The College to achieve the purposes detailed above, depending on the legitimizing basis of the communication, may be communicated to the following recipients:

  • Public Organizations and Administrations, as well as entities authorized to do so by virtue of a legal mandate.
  • Financial entities for the management of collections and payments.

Said data communications seek to guarantee the correct development of the contractual relationship, as well as to comply with legal obligations that require making the aforementioned communications.

Former students who wish to form part of the Association of Former Students of the College may request that we send their personal data to said entity.

9. What are your rights in relation to the processing of your data?

In arts. 12 and following of the LO 3/2018 and 15 and following of the RGPD 2016/679, you will be able to find legal protection for the exercise of your rights related to the protection of personal data. In any case, you can exercise the following rights related to your personal data or that of your children:

  • ACCESS to verify if the School treats your personal data, and in that case what data we treat.
  • RECTIFICATION of incorrect or incomplete data.
  • SUPPRESSION: We recommend consulting with us if there could be changes in the provision of our services as a result of the exercise of this right.
  • REQUEST PORTABILITY: if you want another entity to provide our services and for us to provide you with your data.
  • OPPOSITION
  • REQUEST LIMITATION OR WITHDRAW CONSENT FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE

These rights may be exercised on those data protected by your consent.

Therefore, the College will be obliged to comply with the exercise of its rights, except for those data covered by a legal obligation or a legitimate interest.

Remember that you can exercise such rights by writing to the email address  secretaria@costaadejeacademy.com  or to the Data Protection Officer (DPD):  info@macgasesoresauditores.es . In both cases, please indicate the following text in the subject section:  Data Protection Rights Colegio Internacional Costa Adeje.

In both cases, it is required to prove the identity of the person exercising their rights, by sending a copy of their DNI, NIE, Passport or equivalent document, on both sides. The College or the DPD will provide you with the requested information within a maximum period of one month from receipt of the request. This period may be extended for another two months if necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests.

10. Claims

Keep in mind that in the event that you have not obtained satisfaction in the exercise of your rights, you can claim before the Spanish Agency for Data Protection (Competent Control Authority in this matter), by writing to it, C / Jorge Juan number 6, 28001 Madrid or through the web:  https://www.agpd.es However, in the first instance, you may file a claim with the Data Protection Officer, who will resolve the claim within a maximum period of two months.
